Hello! My name is Alar. I am patient, encouraging and bring enthusiasm to a teaching environment. I enjoy training individuals who share a passion for art and dance, and create a learner centered space to meet the goals of the student at a comfortable pace.

I have over a decade of training and performance experience in dance – Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Contemporary, Bellydance, Semi-classical, Bollywood, Fusion styles. I have over five years of teaching experience. I also hold a BA in Performing Arts, English, Psychology, and am about to complete an MSc in Psychology. I am also a Doordarshan graded Kathak artist, and have completed Diploma in Kathak and Bharatanatyam from Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal.

I believe that the process of learning is for both the teacher and student. There is mutual growth, understanding and compassion as we embark on a new journey. I look forward to creating a positive learning experience with you!
